Start with your audience
List where your visitors or customers are located. Test real pages from important regions instead of relying only on a country name or map distance.
Compare network and application performance
Record latency and time to first byte for comparable pages. A slow application or database may remain slow on a nearby server; separate connectivity from site performance.
Define the role of a CDN
A CDN can bring static assets closer to visitors, but does not automatically move every dynamic operation or database. Check what is cached and where.
Prepare before moving hosting
Review applicable contractual or regulatory data-location requirements with the appropriate adviser when needed. Before migration, prepare backups, DNS changes and rollback, then test the new environment.
